One of the things that I was never really a fan of when using Textmate editor, was the fact it didn’t have a built in FTP module.I then purchased Panic’s Coda for it’s tight integration with Transit which worked out pretty well.  I have one CakePHP project that requires me to FTP my work to a development server rather than using SVN. But I just love Textmate so much that I had to manually drag and drop my files to and from the Transit application. Of course this meant have to open and close folders in both views which can be time consuming when you are constantly saving and checking files.

Then today the light bulb went on and I noticed an option built into Transit that might allow a tighter integration with Textmate. It is the Docksend option.

Basically, if you check this option, it allows you to drag your files from Finder and drop them onto the Transit dock icon.

I thought that it should work directly from Textmate as well, so I tried it, and BANG! It worked.

Just a little tip I thought I’d share because I’ve seen people mention this in other forums as well.
